Volunteering
In 2016 I took a six month career break to volunteer with REEF DOCTOR, a marine conservation agency in Ifaty, Madagascar.
During my time at the agency I helped to conduct underwater science surveys and produced a 'how to' video which introduced local seaweed farmers to the concept and benefits of seaweed farming in the Bay of Ranobe.
With very limited technology and minimal access to power I made a Malagasy language video using a Sony A7R, Go Pro Hero 4 and Adobe Premiere.
Click here to find out more about Reef Doctor's work on seaweed farming and here for more about their work in Madagascar in general.
